Apple Crumble

Ingredients:


1 cup oats
1/3 c brown sugar or coconut sugar
1/4 c butter or vegan butter
1/2 tbsp cinnamon   *I used 2 tbsp cinnamon
10-12 green apples, sliced (I prefer to keep the skin on)   *I liked this recipe best with red apples
Non-stick spray

Directions:   
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray baking dish with non-stick spray.
Layer sliced apples so there are at least 3-5 layers of apple.
Smaller, deeper baking dishes work well.
In a separate bowl, combine the oats, butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.   Using your fingers, pinch and crumble the ingredients until well combined.
Layer the oat mixture over the sliced apples.
Cover and bake for 1 hour.


*Eat as is or top with greek yogurt or cinnamon wonder whip.

**I originally made this recipe with only 2 apples and 1/4 of the oats and sugar mixture and used red apples and preferred the red apples over the green.   Try them BOTH and see which ones you love!
